2nd International Symposium on

Molecular Imaging and Nanomedicine

August 16-20, 2013, Chengdu, China

Symposium Language: English
Co-sponsored by Institute of Chemistry, CAS and and West China Hospital, Sichuan University
Supported by 973 Program

Background

Nanomedicine as a new and highly interdisciplinary field has attracted increasing attention over past decade owing to the applications of nanomaterials and nanotechnologies in vitro bioassays, in vivo imaging and diagnosis, drug delivery, etc. Molecular imaging as a major branch of nanomedicine has shown great potentials to promise novel and individualized therapies in the near future, especially for malignant tumors.

  Aims

The current symposium will carry on the idea of the previous symposium held in Lijiang, 2011, to offer the platform for chemists, biologists, and doctors of medical imaging and medicine to exchange ideas, to share new results and achievements in the related fields, and to strengthen the existing collaborations and meanwhile promote new collaborations among all participants in the future.

  Topics

1. Design and fabrication of novel molecular probes and nanoprobes;
2. Applications of nanomaterials and technology in biomedical assays;
3. Molecular mechanism and clinical diagnostics of malignant tumors;
4. Molecular imaging of tumors
