Yilin Li in our group successfully defended her doctoral thesis on November 22, 2011. The defence topic is “Application of Quantum Dots in Visualization of Transfection of Tumor Suppressor Gene and in early Diagnosis of Tumor”. During the defence, Yilin Li excellently summarized her researches during the doctoral periods, and also gave an impressing presentation. The defense committee was chaired by Prof. Lin Shen from Beijing Cancer Hospital, and Prof. Jinghong Li from Tsinghua University, Prof. Yanglong Hou from Peking University, Prof. Dong Han from National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, Prof. Shu Wang and Prof. Dihua Shangguan from Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences took part in the defense.
     Dr. Yilin Li researches the applications of semiconductor nanocrystals in cell imaging and cancer detection during her doctoral periods, and related results have been respectively published in Biomaterials and Chem. Commun. In addition, Dr. Yilin Li awarded Outstanding Students Award of CAS and Third-class Award of ICCAS-Ningbo Dacheng, respectively in 2009 and 2010.
